An introduction for Jach

Looks like it's time to introduce myself.
I'm known as Jach Marsdonpone, and I'm a new member of this group.

I work mainly with 3D games, most recently in unity. Before that I used the blender game engine.
I've made a few games in the past, some that people might have heard of being:

-'Luna Wander', the moon simulator staring Luna.
-'The Unknown', the survival horror in the land of ice ponies.
-'A world you should not know', the equestria girls grunge horror.

All of which were made in the BGE, but ive now moved on to use unity3D and the c# language.
In terms of myself, I mainly like programming, art and the cartoons MLP-FIM (well of course) and Ruby Gloom. As well as game developing, I do a bit of digital art, although I'm very, very new to that and need some real practice. For the record, my favourite video game of all time is Red dead redemption, followed by a large gap, then fallout 3, borderlands and bioshock.

At the moment I've got several games I'm working on:

-No guns in canterlot, the pony FPS,  the BIG one that seems to have the most attention.
-Luna's letter, which is for the MLGD marathon, and is in fact finished, just not yet released.
-Pegasus velocity, a roll-around 3D platformer staring derpy in a bubble.

Soon enough I'll sort out some links in the 'games' section of the blog for my past games, and there I'll try to post about progress as often as possible, which actually won't be very often...

Anyway, that seems to be all, I'll try to sort out some more information in the next few days!

Stun bug fix

Hi there!

So, as some of you pointed out, there was a very big bug regarding the new Stun feature. If you got killed when there were enemies near the spawn point, they'd stun you instantly and keep killing you until you ran out of lives.

I seriously don't know how I didn't see that problem before, and I apologize. Shame on me!
Luckily, I made a few tweaks and the problem was gone: I added temporary invulnerability and invincibility after losing a life, so I encourage y'all to download this little update.

Little updates!

Hey guys! What's up?

Quick update here, I just wanted to let you know I'm not dead, nor is the Nightfall project. I'm just going through some pretty heavy times in college, so I haven't got much time to work on other stuff (and programming a game takes a heck of a lot of time!). Besides, there's A LOT to do with Nightfall, since there are a huge lot of changes planned for the game.

Anyway, I got some time today and worked a little more on the game. I'll probably be working some more around the next few weeks.

Game Release: Drifter!

Hello there, folks!

Well, this here is not actually a SMG's game, but I was part of the development team on it and I'd love to share this with you all, guys! I was, actually, majorly just in charge of the map design, though. Those guys did pretty much all the heavy lifting there!

But anyway, I'm glad to share with you Drifter, "a sequel to Stroll and Derpy Buddy". I really hope you guys find it interesting, and I encourage you to go and check it out!

Nightfall BIG Updates (v1.67b)!

Hello there, folks!

So, the first beta of Nightfall was released a few days ago, and I think it went pretty good. Lots of people tried it out, and many of you gave me extremely helpful feedback, which helps me to make a better game for you all.

And actually, that's the reason for this post. I've updated the game a few times already, yep, but THIS update is quite big and I thought it deserved another post, as I changed plenty of stuff. I may keep updating the game if I think it's needed, and update this post as well (unless it's a BIG update, for which I'd make a new post entirely).

The complete changelogs (from v1.50b onwards) include:
- Enemies rebalanced.
- Player's attacks no longer damage friendly structures.
- 'Overall Endurance' upgrade (affects both structures HP and the player's energy).
- Trees no longer repel enemies, and only some of their attacks.
- It's now possible to replace structures you've collected without unlocking them.
- Enhanced flying system (and flying now costs energy).
- Wider building range.
- Longer days and shorter nights.
- Lower energy cost for stores.
- Changed 'enable/disable audio' key to F3.
- Changed 'enable/disable trees' key to F5.
- Added 'enable/disable particles' function (F6) to improve performance.
- Creative mode now features unlimited structures.
- Other minor changes and bug fixes.
- Added lives system.
- Added difficulty system (easy mode).
- Added GUI buttons to access the menues.
- Yellow power-up doesn't stun bosses anymore.
- Added red power-up, which kills all common enemies nearby.
- Other minor changes and bug fixes.
- Flying costs less energy.
- Pegasi can now double jump too.

The game still has only 10 nights for now, though, but they're much more fun to play than before.

Nightfall First Beta Release!

Soooooo, after a whole day of debugging, I finally am glad to share with you guys the first (beta) release of Nightfall. I'm feeling dizzy because of the lack of sleep! So I better go to bed already. Anyway, check the game out! I hope you guys enjoy this first beta, and remember, suggestions and opinions are encouraged!

Check out the video if you haven't already!

- To avoid gameplay problems, DO NOT alt+tab/change window focus WHILE PERFORMING ACTIONS (moving, building, etc.). It is better to do so when the game is paused.
- The game takes its time when generating a new world. Please be patient, as it may take up to 1 or 2 minutes in slower computers. You can do other stuff meanwhile, it doesn't matter if the window loses focus. On the other hand, loading is instantaneous.
- Currently, this beta lets you play until Night 10. After that, there are no more enemies.
- Be sure to read the 'Readme' file that comes with the game to learn the basics and controls.
